An addict isn't considered an exponent just because he drinks and medicines an excessive amount of, nor as a result of his life spirals downwards attributable to medicine. These are simply predictable symptoms of the progressive disease. Maybe if we had a brand new definition for addiction, it'd not be thus troublesome to accept that people may be stricken by a disease which will eventually destroy their lives.
